Betty (nee Stan) Papay, age 102 ¬Ω, of Schererville, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Papay. Betty (nee Stan) Papay, age 102 ¬Ω, of Schererville, IN passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Papay. Betty is survived by daughter, Sharon (Wayne) Lee; granddaughters, Kristina (Gary) Winiecki, Sherrene (Greg) Sporer and Nicole (Todd) Skertich; devoted great grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Griffin, Riley and Sydney; and also, surviving son, James; and sister Agnes Pitsic. Friends may visit with family on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 12:00 p.m.(noon) to 2:00 p.m. Memorial Services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Father Alphonse Skerl officiating. Interment will be private with the family. Betty was an active member of Holy Trinity Hungarian Church, society member of Fatima Society, and avid Bingo and Bunco player. Thank You to all the special staff, who loved and cared for Betty in her last years at Munster Med Inn.
