Delia M. Puente,83, formally of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018. She is survived by her children: Emilio (Bernice) Puente, Frances (Brian) Prendergast, Edward (Angel) Puente and Norman (Jennifer) Puente; grandchildren: Samantha, Michael and Luke; sister: Ana Luisa Lopez, sister- in- law: Hilda Sierra and several nieces and nephews. Delia is preceded in death by her husband Emilio, brothers: Aurelio, Felix and Gustavo Sierra and sister: Francisca Zorilla.
Delia was a lifelong East Chicago resident and retired from the East Chicago School System. She loved spending time with her family, dancing and entertaining. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 pm with a prayer service at 4:30 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Wednesday July 11 from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment Private.
