Dr. Maximo Tulabot Bleza, 81, of Valparaiso, Indiana, former resident of Munster, Indiana and The Villages, Florida, peacefully went home to our Heavenly Father on September 30, 2015. He was born on May 29, 1934 in Tanza, Cavite, Philippines. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nelia Valencia Bleza. He is also survived by his sons Maximo Valencia Bleza, Jr. (Sandra) of Valparaiso, Robert Dale Bleza (Susan) of Munster, and David Arnold Bleza (Kara) of Crown Point. He is the proud grandfather of Natalie, Nicholas, Madeline, Alexandria, Noah, Brendan, Samantha, Jacob and Mia. He is survived by his siblings Moises, Eustacia Guinto, Bernardo, and Isagani. Numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Elpidia Tulabot and Brigido Bleza, and sisters Felicidad and Gregoria. As a physician, Maximo proudly cared for the families of Lake County, Indiana, working at the Hammond Clinic for 30 years. He is well known for his meticulous attention to detail and never-ending devotion to his family. Maximo enjoyed gardening, playing golf and spending quality time with his family. Visitation will be on Friday, October 2, from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, Indiana and on Saturday, October 3, from 10:00 -11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Valparaiso, Indiana with the funeral celebrating his life to follow at 11:00 am. There will be a luncheon immediately following so family and friends may gather and find peace and comfort in sharing the wonderful memories of his influence on us all.
