James passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. He was born on July 6, 1943 in Jersey city, NJ. He graduated from Union NJ High School and Rutgers University, Newark. He was a member of the New Jersey National Guard from 1964 to 1972. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan (Albizati), his daughter, Cynthia (Seth Rinderknecht), son, James Jr.; cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Cecilia and Alexander; sister, Katherine (late Karl) Gollhardt; brother, Neal (late Lois Albizati); sister, Cheryl (Robert) Peal; brother-in-law, Daniel (Lesia) Albizati; mother-in-law, Ceil Albizati. Also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mildred Strain; father-in-law, John Albizati; brother-in-law, Karl Gollhardt; sister-in-law, Lois Strain and best buddy Inky. He loved classic cars, do-wop music, hammocks, slot machines, lottery tickets, boxed wine and cutting coupons. His daughter hopes there are double coupon days in Heaven. According to his wishes, Jim donated his body to the Indiana University Anatomical Education Program. Visitation will be Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN.
