KATHERINE “KAY” (NEE MICUDA) HOOGLAND, AGE 89, PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2016. SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER NIECE, SANDY KREIDLER; AND NEPHEW, TOM KESSLER. SHE WAS PRECEEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, NOBBY HOOGLAND; DAUGHTER, SHARON HOOGLAND; SON, JIMMY HOOGLAND, AND BROTHER JOHN MICHUDA. KAY RETIRED FROM THE PHARMACY AT ROSELAND COMMUNITY HOSPITAL AFTER WORKING THERE MANY YEARS KAY NEVER MET A STRANGER, OPENED HER HEART TO SO MANY PEOPLE, WHO’S LIVES SHE TOUCHED. GRAMA KAY, WILL BE REMEMBERED AS A WONDERFUL WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, SISTER AND AUNT. SHE TRULY WAS A BEST FRIEND TO ALL THAT KNEW HER.

I cannot begin to tell you how much fun Kay and I had while working @ Roseland Community Hospital. It was one joke, one prank after the other. We should have formed a comedy team. Aunt Kay was such a fun person to be around. She was always the life of the party. Her voice and laugh could be heard over all others in the room. I remember this specifically from all the Hoogland, Kullman, and Kessler gatherings of years gone by. The vacations at Hueston Woods Lodge were so fun. She was a very special lady that was loved by everyone that knew her. Kay will be missed and remembered very fondly. Love, Your godson Jim.
