Leslie Ann Murovic, age 54, of Highland, IN passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. She is survived by her brother, Joe E. (Susan) Murovic, Jr.; sister, LeNore Murovic; niece, Madalin M. (Nate Drozd) Murovic; and nephew, Joe E. “T.J.” Murovic III. Leslie was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her parents, Joe E. and Mariann Murovic, Sr.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with Pastor Bob Neuman officiating. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Thursday, at the funeral home, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.Leslie had many dear family, friends, neighbors, customers, clients and co-workers. She was a very kind person and never uttered an unkind word about anyone she ever met. Leslie appreciated life and those people around her that touched her life. She loved all kinds of animals, especially black dogs and black cats that she often fostered or rescued. Consider adopting a black dog or cat in Leslie’s memory for they are often the last pets ever chosen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Leslie’s name to Humane Indiana (formerly Humane Society of the Calumet Area) or a local Animal Rescue Mission.

We requested Leslie every week at Baker's Square. We saw her as a friend, and couldn't believe it when we requested her last Saturday and were told what happened. Like her, we're animal lovers, so our conversation usually centered around pets. We have two shelter cats and a shelter dog. Leslie was so special, and the world was a better place because of her. As someone else mentioned, she did God's work and now His love surrounds her. She will be missed terribly.
