Mary Ellen Lorenz, 81, of Lansing, IL passed away on April 22, 2015. She is survived by her son, Fred (Paddi) Lorenz; daughters, Beth (Bruce) Page and Lynn (Brian) Smith; grandchildren, Jennifer, Geoffrey, Blair, Brian, Cody, Chase, Michaella and Charlize. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lorenz; sisters, Jeanette Moynahan and Alice Arney. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 1:00-6:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be Monday, April 27, 2015, visitation from 9:30-10:00 AM with the service at 10:00 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2505 Indiana Ave. Lansing, IL. Interment will be at Oak Glen Cemetery, Lansing, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area in her memory would be appreciated. Mary Ellen was a member of the Lady Lions, Lansing Country Club and Kankakee Country Club golf leagues, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother. Mary Ellen was an avid golfer, enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
