Michael W. Pemberton, 53, of Whiting, IN and the California Bay Area passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016. He is survived by his daughter, Francesca Pemberton; parents, William and Pattie (nee Halik) Pemberton; brothers, Jeffrey and David Pemberton; aunts, Bonnie Kekelik and Lynn (Dave) Massey; uncle, Richard Pemberton; many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Eleanor Pemberton and Michael and Evelyn Halik. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 12:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home. Michael graduated from Knox High School (Knox, Indiana); Purdue University School of Pharmacy where he was a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. He was employed as a Nuclear Pharmacist with GE Medical. His hobby was Mix Martial Arts and he especially enjoyed Muay Thai and was a former member of Torres Martial Arts. Mike called Whiting, IN and the California Bay area his homes. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Purdue University School of Pharmacy in his name would be appreciated.
