Nina Mattingly, 75 of Munster, IN passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018. She is survived by her sons, Randy and David Mattingly; daughters, Lisa Artman and Cheryl Mattingly; grandson, Adam; great granddaughter, Charlotte several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Bernice Biedron; husband, George Mattingly; brothers, Louis, Fritz and Stephen Biedron; grandson, Evan. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 pm with a prayer service at 3:30 pm Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Saturday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her memory would be appreciated. Nina was an incredibly selfless wife, mother and grandparent who always put the needs of her family before her own. Her greatest joy was to be hostess to a home full of family and friends, every day, not just special occasions. She prepared meals with love, which not only satiated hunger but fed our souls. Every holiday was not only recognized but celebrated. No one was ever left out, each life celebrated. She was beloved by all and will be missed beyond comprehension.
