Vera Holden was born on January 29, 1927 to Maria and Joseph Poscher in Maastricht, Netherlands and also lived in Aachen, Germany. She married Milton G. Holden in 1947 and resided in Riverdale,IL. She is survived by her daughter Elvera (Richard) Janowiak, granddaughters Denise (Jake) Zygmuntowski, Kristin (Charles) Riva, great grandchildren Carson Riva, Chase Riva, Ashley Zygmuntowski, and Ava Zygmuntowski, brother Hans Poscher, sister Christel Lenkitsch, and several nieces and nephews. Vera loved to sing, dance, and cook wonderful meals. She was lovingly known as \”Gabie\” by her family.

Many years ago Vera visited Maastricht. As a fan of the Maastricht singer Johnny Blenco she was invited on the Markt in Maastricht to meet him. He was singing his greatest Maastricht song to her : Op 't Vriethof op 'n baank. My father, Johnny Belenco died on january, 27e 2020.
