Edward “Ed” J. Swan, age 64, of Dyer, IN passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019 with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Betsy” Swan; children, Nicholas (fiancée Samantha Gerich) Swan and Anna Swan; sisters, Janice (Jim) Nichols and Nancy (late Tom) Vassar; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marion Swan; and his uncle, Ed Swan. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with Minister Randy Harrison officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 3:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. service. Interment will be private. Ed was a member of Arcadia Palace Lodge #765 A.F. & A.M. Lansing, IL. His family and friends knew him only as kind and full of laughter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ed’s name to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
