James J. Weidenfeller, 71, of Schererville, IN formerly of Munster, IN passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna (nee Dagnillo); daughter, Karin (Brent) Clauson; grandson, Andrew Kiszenia; brother-in-law, Larry (Lynn) Koziol; nephew, Craig (Cheryl) Koziol. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth; sister. Mary Koziol.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Friday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church.
Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 24 years of service. Jim and Donna were members of Lansing Country Club where Jim ran the Pro Shop for a number of years. Jim was passionate about golf and played every round as if it was a tournament. In lieu of flowers, contributions to charity of your choice would be appreciated.
