Jerry Beres, 64, of Gary, passed away on February 2, 2019. He is survived by his brother John (Wendy) Beres of Dyer, nieces: Asa, Kelly, Amber, Rachael and Jennifer, nephews: Rick, Dikun and Dustin and numerous cousins. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents John and Verna Beres and brothers Nello and Richard Beres. Jerry was a resident of Boys Town in Schererville from 1972-1973. He attended First Baptist Church in Hammond. Jerry was a simple man who enjoyed watching western movies. He was always willing to help someone out.
