Jerry J. Bloomquist, 53, of Lansing, IL passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Monica; son, Sean Bloomquist; daughter, Colleen Bloomquist; father, Jerry Bloomquist Sr.; stepfather, Eugene Witvoet; sisters, Audrey Armstrong, Angie (Matt) Putman and Jennifer (Rick) Price; brother, Clifford (Christine) Witvoet; several nieces and nephews; his faithful companion, Roxy; preceded in death by his mother, Jean Witvoet. Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Jerry was formerly employed at Leigh / Hanson Material Service and served with the U.S. Navy. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family would be appreciated.
