Mary Smolinski, 84, of Lansing, IL passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, parents, brothers, grandson: Bret and great grandson: Avidus. She is survived by her sons, Carl Dave (Barb) Smolinski of St. John, IN, Mike Smolinski and Jim (Kathy) Smolinski both of Denver, CO; daughter, Carol (late Ray) Kobus of Lansing, IL; Loving grandmother of Jenny, Beth (Jeff), Todd (Krista), Andy, Becky, Caitlin (Mike), Lindsay and Ray; cherished great grandmother of Hayden, Jack, Hannah, Natalie, Emily and Jason; brother, Tom (Jan) Muday; sister, Dorothy (Jim) Lesch; beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Friday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday September 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Church, 3010 Ridge Rd. Lansing, IL. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Vitas Innovative Hospice care, 1423 Chicago Rd. 6N, Chicago Heights, IL. 60411 would be appreciated.
