He is survived by his wife, Martha; son, Andrew (Marcie) Krop; granddaughters, Madison and Margaret Krop; preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sylvia Kropiewnicki. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Griffith Lutheran Church, 1000 N. Broad St. Griffith, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church. Rick was the owner of Rick’s Grill in Hammond and Griffith for 34 years. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Griffith Lutheran Church in his memory would be appreciated.
