Robert A. Thomson, 96, of Munster, IN passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. He is survived by his daughter, Anneliese Thomson; sons, Tom (Kim) Thomson and Brian (Barb) Thomson; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Mary (late Gordon) Schmal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeleine Thomson and son, Robert L. Thomson. Visitation will be on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Tuesday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. dyer, IN. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Robert served his country proudly in World War II. He loved to play golf and was an avid Notre Dame Fan. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his memory would be appreciated.
